Roadside Attractions

I'm not really sure why this series wants to be called Roadside Attractions.

There's little in common with the likes of the giant Jimmy Carter p-nut (Georgia) or the  Land of Lost Luggage (Alabama), The World’s Largest Collection of Smallest Versions of Largest Thing(Kansas) or even the Clown Motel (Nevada).

But somehow this succulent cacophony is the scrub you see along the road to everywhere.

It's a bored kid's quick glance out of a moving car on a long stretch of highway.
It's a restaurant whose placemats are the menu.
It's the familiar with the not so likely.
It's the tourist shop with ashtrays, snowglobes and coffeemugs.
It's the divinity and the pecan log and the boiled peanuts.

It's a roadtrip. With attractions.
