Painting has a home

I'm pretty excited.

My painting “Forest Glow” 5’ x 4’ will be installed at the Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory, NC as part of the renovation of that space.

The acquisition fulfills my dream of having the work placed in a public space, and in particular, a hospital.

The woodland series was inspired by my work as Artist-In-Residence at Levine Cancer Institute where the healing power of Art was apparent while working with patients as they received Infusion.

In particular, I've  strived to create harmonious, elevating paintings out of intricate, seemingly impossible complexity.   This contradiction was a theme that was voiced by many patients as they created artworks from seemingly random marks and materials.
